My F unit fleet is getting larger. I have 11 in most ARR F unit schemes. This is my Bowser HO scale Alaska Railroad F-7A 1506 in the original blue and yellow passenger scheme. The lettering is crisp and sharp, the herald on the nose is very detailed, and way cool. Both blue and yellow colors look correct in my opinion.
There are quite a few details on the model - grab irons on all the right places, air hoses, MU hoses, coupler levers, and the 5 chime horn. The only real ARR details missing are the shortened ladder grabs, and the plated first roof fan. With the 48' dynamic brake fan we can say this model represents only few years in the 1950s. Bowser in the near future is going to release a B unit in this scheme, number 1501. I'm going to get two, renumber one so I can have an A-B-B-A lashup..
