About the layout.....My dad and I live in Springfield, Oregon and the
layout was built over a five year perion. As with any outdoor project,
there is always improvements to be made and you can see the changes every
year.
In all there is about 250 feet of brass LGB or Aristo track. There are two tunnels one of which is twelve feet long also a trestle of about the same length. All of the track is in a raised bed and track power is supplied by a six amp PH Hobbies transformer. The buildings are supplied by other train club members as with some of the vehicles. The Alaska Railroad train is ours all is made by USA except the eskimo boxcar and covered gondola which are made by Aristocraft. The two photos showing the large trestle is at a club member's house and is roughly ten feet tall at its highest point. |
