Early April fool's day! Alaska has picked up five used F59phi's (updated to -3 standards) from West Coast Express in Vancouver BC. Rebuilt by MPI and wearing the original paint of WCE with Alaska titles and numbered in the 32xx series for the horsepower. They will be used on the Girdwood-Anchorage-Wasilla commuter trains along with ex-SP gallery cars. Photo taken in Cicely as they wait to be tied on to tonight's freight to Anchorage.
