Crane Tender or boom car ARRW 0038 is an interesting conversion of one of the old gondolas the railroad received in 1948.  Many of these were ex-Denver and Rio Grande.  This one has been heavily modified.  If you zoom in you will find the sides between the ribs have been fitted with drop down doors to access storage space below the raised deck that carries a set of replacement trucks.  There is also a gangway cut in at each end to allow access to the car deck. The locomotive crane is #55.
