While roaming Fairbanks this summer I happened upon a jewel of a find in a
yard off the end of Pegar Road. An intact shuttle flat with all the railings
and ramps. Walthers made a model of the base car needed for the project, but
has not been available for years. Listed as a 75' TOFC type F39 flat,
a vigilant E-bay user can sometimes find one. According to Curt Fortenberry
the original tencars were oxide red with yellow letters and he has decals available.
