In January 2006, I was contacted by Mary Knopf at ECI/Hyer Architecture & Interiors
requesting assistance on one of their projects. "I am working with the
ARRC on the renovation of some of their rail cars. We would like to use historical
photos as artwork for Car 351, which has recently been renovated into a coffee
and beverage car. I was hoping you could assist me in contacting the correct
parties and in obtaining permission to use or purchase specific photos for
this purpose."
Diner 351 was the former Florida Fun Train Tiki railbar and now would become a car portraying the Alaska Railroad's proud past. I was able to help Mary obtain the requested photos as well as the permission of the photographers. Below is the finished product. A thing of beauty is a joy forever!
