While working in Seward in 2015, I would occasionally find old railroad cars privately owned. A few miles outside of Seward down one dirt road I found this old Troop Sleeper turned-into a refrigerated boxcar. I found the property owner and asked permission to step foot on his property and to take photos of his relic. After it's life on the Alaska Railroad, it was turned into a semi trailer of all things. The hitch plate/pin and trailer axles were still in place, and for the most part, the car body is in decent shape. If you look closely you can see the number, 11035. These were taken on 09/01/2015.
