GP49 Number 2806 - CCET
Freshly painted and looking good, CCET 2806 rests in the sun at the CCET's Ancor Terminal in Newtown. 2806 is one of nine GP49's originally built for the Alaska Railroad, and still carries her ARR number and ARR-specific details. CCET rosters 3 of these unique units comprising the entire roster of this 53 mile shortline, and 2806 is the first of the three units to receive a full repaint. Newtown, Ohio 9/28/15
Freshly painted Cincinnati East Terminal Railway GP49 2806 rests at the CCET facility in Newtown on a mild summer evening in the Ohio River Valley. CCET 2806 carried the same number when built new for the Alaska Railroad, and until repainted still wore their colors as well. Newtown, Ohio 8/25/15
GP49 2806 just arrived to Columbia-Walla Walla Railroad. CWW now has ex-Alaska Railroad GP49 units 2806, 2807 and 2809. 2803 is over in Centralia, WA and 2802 somewhere in the Columbia Basin. 1/17/21
