"Repeater Air Car was used in the winter time when train air was prone to leak off due to cold glad hand air line connections. It would be placed mid train, and what ever happened in the brake pipe was repeated and sent down line. There is a compressor on board and was used to charge the main air line reservoirs as well." - Pat Durand
