On October 30th Whistle Hill took delivery of box car 1559E (nee 10635). This will be converted into a reservable guest suite for a couple or family of four. They also purchased RDC #701. It will remain in Seward until spring.

McKinley Explorer railcar Kashwitna #1058 (1, 2, 3, 4) has been sitting at Alaska Industrial Paint for most of the year. It is slated for repainting into the Princess Cruises paint scheme (blue with yellow stripe). As you may recall in 2018 McKinley Explorer railcars Talkeetna and Chulitna were repainted in this new scheme. They join Princess repaints St. Elias (2019), Pioneer (2019), Wrangell (2019), Denali (2020), Sanford (2020) and Foraker (2020).
