Max exhibits some feline characteristics one of which is the dislike of immersion in ponds or pools. I did not know this and brought him to a neighbor's swimming pool one day. He would not get into the water on his own so my wife lifted him in and gave him a push towards me. Max suffers from anxiety and I could tell by his bulging eyes that he hated this experience. We tired working with him on floating rafts, noodles, etc., but finally the writing was on the wall. Unlike Indy who will retrieve tennis balls from our pond until he is exhausted, Max is content watching the spectacle from the safety of the dock. 6/24/12
