Alaska 1072 RF1: This unit started life as a RS1 (ex-ARR RSD1 1023; nee US Army 8052) and was enclosed with cabs so that the workers would not be exposed to the Alaska elements.  These units were built in 1943.  The ARR acquired it in 1950 and scrapped it in 1973.  This photo was taken in July of 1971. 1072 was still in service at the time.
