Number 1054 is an Alco RF1A.  It was built in 1943 for the U.S. Army, #8056.  The Alaska Railroad purchased it in 1950 and numbered it 1054.  Later it was rebuilt as RF1A #1054.  In the above photo, it is part of south freight #25 at Healy Depot in 1952.
