Alaskan Black Beauty
When I made my first visit to Alaska in 2008 there were 5 of these beauties left. Not long after I moved to Alaska in April of 2011 3007 & 3008 were barged to Washington to be painted in the current scheme. When they returned they looked just like the MACs although 3007-3008 had a much smaller nose herald. Not sure why that was as other repainted units had the regular sized herald. Here 3007 basks in the Anchorage sunshine on the first day of September 2010. Taken on September 1, 2010
