- Last night’s freight train rolls past McDonald’s, Dairy Queen and Subway. Before it reached this point it rolled by Sonic, Taco Bell, Arby’s, Carl’s Jr., KFC/A&W, Burger King, Qdoba, Panda Xpress, Smashburger, Raising Canes Finger Chicken, Pizza Hut, multiple Starbucks, Pizza Hut, Papa John’s and up ahead Wendy’s awaits - not to mention a good number of local eateries like Knik Pizza and coffee shops like Kaladi brothers and I’m sure I’ve left some of the national chain places out. Wasilla - our rugged, little, town roughing out all the challenges of the great Alaska wilderness.
