WASILLA, ALASKA: WHERE THAT LONESOME WHISTLE BLOWS

TWO BEAR CARS FOLLOW!
THE FREQUENT SCHOOL BUS DOUBLES UP AND THE FSB ROLLS PAST!
TOURIST SEASON HAS BEGUN!

I had previously reported how a hard landing in Green River, Wyoming, had put Geppetto out of action. Even though his Best Buy Total Tech protection plan would have allowed me to swap him out for a new DJI Air 3 drone that very day, the Best Buy stores in both Salt Lake City and Anchorage had been unable to get new ones for THREE MONTHS, so I swapped Geppetto out for a refurbished used one, which is supposed to arrive later today.

I had kept Sancho in reserve for just such a situation but when I tried to fly him, he could not establish a connection with his RC controller, even after I spent an hour and a half talking with a DJl tech on the phone before she gave up, told me we had tried every possibly way to link Sancho with the controller and there was nothing more we could do so she was going to send me a preaddressed, postage paid mailer that very day and I could send the controller back and they would fix it.

That prepaid mailer has yet to arrive, but I managed to get Sancho flying again all on my own.

I won't bother to describe how. It would take too much time.
