On 9.2.24 Alaska Railroad's Centennial unit brings the Denali Star northbound at Talkeetna, passing the Hurricane Turn in the spur track at Talkeetna. Once the Star is out of the way the Turn will get authority to come out of the spur and then back to the depot for their passengers for the day. Although it doesn't look it in this photo, the sun would soon be shining and stay out for the remainder of the day.
