Over the Placer River

ARR's only DMU leads the Glacier Discovery out of 310' Tunnel 1 at MP 51.9 and then over the Placer River on Bridge 51.8. They have exited the last of 5 closely spaced tunnels as they climb through the Kenai Mountains towards their destination of Grandview. At one time there were 6 tunnels but Tunnel 5 was daylighted some time ago 3 of 3 in this series
