The Hurricane Turn, led by ARR 3009 is seen stopped so a photographer can take a picture of the mountain (with the permission of the crew, of course)
This shot is at MP 239, Chase is 238, Talkeetna is 226.7, so this is 12.3 miles from the nearest road. They waited for me, otherwise I'd still be walkin'
It is the Turn, so I could get off where I wanted, and hitch a ride back to town
I took a few shots once we got back to Talkeetna. Our conductor can be seen. He should be in charge of all railroads. Doesn't get much more fun, ever!
