The morning of July 13, 2023, was a stunning beautiful day in Wasilla, Alaska. I started the morning with a shot of the southbound overnight freight at the Meadow Lake Loop Road grade crossing.

Shortly thereafter, it became quite cloudy (out of nowhere)

So, I got a few shots that I didn't have before along the Old Matanuska Road, and again crossing the Matanuska River.

I then spotted the northbound passenger train at Eklutna.

After that, I drove into Anchorage, where it was bright sunshine again.

Beautiful Alaska...
