Jim Huff was kind enough to send this photograph his father took while working for the Forest Service in Alaska. The photo was taken sometime between July 4, 1949 and February 1, 1953.
Commentary courtesy of Pat Durand: "This is a North bound passenger train from Seward crossing the high curved trestle at MP 49 in the old loop district. The typical consist of baggage and two coaches make a nice train typical of 1940 to early 1950s. The scenery is overpowering with an early season snow storm, probably in early October based on snow cover and sunlight."
