In 2019 the heat caused major issues. not just the fires but the extreme heat caused major condensation on the refrigeration and air-condition units, which caused the cottonwood seeds to get stuck to the condensation which ultimately led to the pipes become covered and insulated which made them get hot. Lost air conditioning and refrigeration ending food service for several weeks. Passengers were surprisingly okay. We offered a congenital breakfast out of the depot, loaded Subway sandwiches in Talkeetna, and Pizza at Denali. We also had a bunch of snacks to hand out on board. The biggest fuss caused was when we ran out of strawberry Pop Tarts.
