ARR 1031 ALCO RSC-1 on four wheel trucks switching #7 South after arrival from Fairbanks on the morning of March 11, 1957. This overnight train with Pullman cars arrived by 8 AM every other day in Anchorage. The same consist would then depart North as #6 the same evening usually behind FP7 1510. The switcher would move the passenger train to the coach track to be connected to steam from the central power plant. The head end power would move to the fuel rack and engine house for service.
