Warm Alaskan Nights Looking into the Anchorage Diesel shop from the south we see GP40-2 3012 resting under the lights in Electric Bay 2 while another brace of geeps repose on the lead to Roundhouse 3. 3012 was built new for the ARR in June 1978 and was among the first units to wear the Alaska Bold scheme but with a US DOT nose emblem. In August 2014 she was repainted by a local contractor into the modern baby MAC scheme to match the passenger consists. Anchorage, Alaska |
