GP40 numbers 3009 and 3011 sit quietly under a blanket of snow in the Anchorage yard. In 1986 both locomotives received retrofits of small auxiliary plants for limited Head End Power (300kW) and supplying KFF (keep from freezing) power to certain intermodal cars. February 2021
