Stryker Ramps

This is the new Stryker Ramps on Ft. Wainwright.  It replaced the Ladd Ramps that were at G-3.  There are four tracks that end at a giant end ramp.  There is also a side ramp that runs between Tracks 2 & 3.  It is a beautiful facility.   The last few photos were taken after the rail was put in, but before the end/side ramps were built..

You may have noticed that there are a bunch of tank cars on the track instead of flats.  The railroad needed a place to store some extra tanks and they wanted to get some weight on the tracks before it could be signed off with the contractor so it worked out for everyone.
