Date taken: January 17, 2000 |
Location: Alliance Depot, Alliance, Ohio |
Comments: The depot at Alliance provided very close parking
for rail fanning. I rolled in about 1:30 a.m. and sleep in my van
until friend Carl Luther woke me up at 8:00 a.m. Although it was
cold (20-30 degrees), skies were clear and this served as a great backdrop
for some rail photos.
I came to Alliance to try to catch an Alaska Railroad SD70MAC assembled at Altoona, PA and being shipped to Seattle, WA. Unfortunately, it came through several days after I left. I still had a great rail fanning experience plus some great camaraderie with Carl Luther. |
