Do you know anybody who carries around a four foot section of railroad rail in the back of their vehicle? Mike Gerenday does. It came from an abandoned railway spur that was once part of the original Alaska Railroad. He and his wife Moriah brought it to the lodge to show me. Well, she didn't really bring it as she's about ten months pregnant and can't carry such things. He also brought lots of other historical Alaska Railroad memorabilia he's collected. Mike is a big Alaska Railroad fan which made for a very fun visit. 5/29/17
