SD70MAC #3909 in the Anchorage yard, August 26, 2024
Pete Mejia, under official escort by an Alaska Railroad employee, took this photo through the dirty window of the Anchorage Shops. Ex-KCS SD70MAC #3909 is being prepared for the application of a wrap by International Name Plate Supplies (INPS). An INPS artist created the artwork for the railroad’s approval. INPS will paint all hand rails and latches, vents, hinges, etc, by way of color matching the paint to the vinyl. All the work is done at the Alaska Railroad in Anchorage with INPS, 3M trained and certified graphic installers. The film was printed in Longview, Texas at their plant. They use all 3M premium vinyls. 10/28/24
